With over 30 dual pane window manufacturers available in the greater Sacramento area alone, choosing the right window for your home can be confusing and very time consuming. Most of us don't even know what to look for. Werner & sons has been researching and testing window products from the very beginning of the vinyl window revolution here in California. Here are a few things we look for.

Aesthetics - Many windows have excellent selling points (I.E. security, durability, energy efficiency etc...) but in achieving these benefits basic aesthetic qualities can be lost. This leaves you with that patched in retrofit look caused by awkward looking or fitting windows. A good window is both aesthetically pleasing and of efficient quality design.

Cost Effectiveness - Many low cost windows do not have much insulating power, and many high cost windows have more added cost than added insulating power. In both cases the return on your investment may take a life time to see! Cost effective windows should pay for themselves in a reasonable time period.

Manufacturers Track Record - A window may meet the above criteria; But what about the manufacturer? Do windows delivered from the factory have scratches or flaws? Are windows constructed out of square or generally inconsistent, interfering with their smooth operation and energy efficiency? A window manufacturer must have a proven track record, with limited factory defects and consistent, quality workmanship.
